A closer look reveals this illustration is handwritten with Gehrig's famous "Luckiest Man" speech, where he announced his retirement from baseball due to ALS, later named Lou Gehrig's disease. A portion of proceeds from all Lou Gehrig sales benefits the Lou Gehrig Society and Project Main Street.
