Camden Yards Word Art

The construction of Camden Yards marked an important era in baseball history: the revival of retro-style ballparks - open air concourses, brick, exposed steel, etc. Since it was built in 1992, countless other cities followed suit, based on the success of the new Oriole Park. Plus, this stadium got to witness one of the greatest ever achievements in the history of sports - Cal Ripken's 2131st consecutive game. For its 25th anniversary, I decided to commemorate the park by handwriting the names of every Oriole player in history (1954-2017) to create an image of the famous stadium. This piece took nearly 70 hours to complete...and I couldn't be more thrilled to present it to such a great baseball city!
