Customer Tom Constabile & Don Larsen's Perfect Game

For years, I've been telling people that I've never met anyone who was actually at the 1956 Yankees World Series, even though I had done a piece to commemorate it. After all, it was 65 years ago when Don Larsen threw 1 of only 2 perfect games in World Series history, culminating in an iconic embrace with catcher Yogi Berra.

Until one day, I got an email from diehard Yankee fan Tom Constabile with pictures to prove it. Yankee fans are notorious for having tons of memorabilia, but ticket stubs from the perfect game as well as a program and signed photo of Larsen himself are as rare as it gets. HUGE thanks to Tom and his daughter Erin for providing these pictures!

Know anyone that has a special connection to their word art? Please send us an email to info@artofwords.com - we'd love to shout them out!
