I’m happy to announce my latest piece featuring Golden State point guard Steph Curry. I remember watching him lead some no-name team to the Elite 8 single-handedly. Sure, he was good, and had one of the quickest releases I had ever seen, but I thought he would get shut down in the league. Well, so much for that. His quick release has allowed him to become the best shooter in league history according to many players and analysts, and I happen to agree.
Curry’s accolades speak for themselves. He took the Warriors to three consecutive finals, and helped them win two of them. He was a back-to-back league MVP, the second of which was the only time a player was ever nominated unanimously. I’m a believer. He’s fun to watch and seems like a great guy on top of that. What’s not to like? This is coming from a guy who spent about 50 hours recently watching the Finals, pausing often to capture as good a live reference as I could. To form the print, I hand wrote every game, opponent, w/l, and score from the two recent Warriors’ Championship seasons (2014-15 and 2016-17). I’m always on the lookout for suggestions for my next piece, so if there’s anything you would like to see, please send me an email at
