LeBron James

LeBron James

Fresh off of completing my Steph Curry piece, I realized I'd be foolish not to recognize LeBron James after he led the Cavs to their first ever Championship in 2016....especially after overcoming a 3 games to 1 deficit in the finals! So I present to you: the LeBron James Word Art.

Of all of the iconic LeBron poses to choose from (his chase down blocks, pre game celebrations, etc) I decided to choose an action packed shot of his signature dunk - from the coolest possible angle.

Using pen and ink I hand wrote every game, opponent, w/l, and score from the Cavs championship season. For additional inspiration throughout   the 30-40 hours creating the piece I listened to a lot of late 90s/early 00s Jay-Z records.  As a nod to one of the great sports cities in the US, I made sure to use the "Cleveland" jersey that has become so attached to LeBron's legacy.

Love him or hate him, LeBron is by far one of the games greats, not only on the court, but off the court as well.  An active philanthropist, LeBron has given back and helped Boys and Girls Clubs across the country. Most recently he donated $41 million to help send 1100 kids to college.

As always, these prints will be hand signed, printed on standard size archival matte paper, and offered with a generous discount for your gift giving needs upon launch! Use code LBJ20 for 20% off!
